The conversation art is a skill that few people have. It can be learned in time if you have interest and ambition. Knowing about the art of conversation can help you in society. You can easily climb up the ladder, if you know exactly what to say and when. The art of conversation is easy, if you remember some simple guidelines there are some great tips on how to really master the conversation art. First you have to be confident! If you show that you are afraid or nervous, then  people will lose their interest in what you are trying to say. The important thing  is to stay relax at any moment, because in this way you send a calm vibe and  attitude. A relaxed person is a friendly person and this immediately puts people at ease. Being Polite, and smiling a lot, makes people respond.

The second tip is to always ask open ended questions, meaning questions that have a more complex answer than only “yes” or “no”. In this way the conversation can last long and can be redirected in many ways. You have to find the appropriate topic so that the others can comment upon, too. Here are some examples of good topic for a conversation :” Have you ever gone on a holiday abroad? And if not where would you like to go?” or „ what do you like to do in your free time? The conversation has to go on smoothly  and all of the partners have to participate. Talking calmly and with patience can really score you some points.

Listening carefully to what others are saying because by giving your full attention to the speaker, you can understand better the topic their discussing and you can contribute more efficiently with smart comment. Listening to others and not interrupting can be also a compliment and can make you appear a very pleasant person. The conversation art is all about always saying what you think, not what you think others want you to say. Don`t pretend to be someone else because it won`t work and you will only appear fake and people will avoid you.  Effective leaders always say what they are thinking and express their ideas freely. Knowing how to speak your mind can earn you the respect of others.

In order to have the confidence to really start a conversation and end it with pride, you have to keep in mind some essential things : you have to develop your sense of humor. Begin taking notes of the things that make you laugh and pay attention to what others find humorous. You don’t have to be  a great storyteller in order to make others laugh. Just don`t over exaggerate because people tend to get tired and bored of a very chaotic discussion partner. Brushing up on current events is probably the best choice you can make. Even if you don`t have so much time on your hands to stay aware of everything that happens, you can spear 5 min in the morning to watch the news or you can subscribe to a weekly news magazine or at least skim the headlines of a daily paper.
