Conversation skills are very important for most of us. In order to have a great conversation you need to know some conversation skills. Nowadays conversation skills are requested in any area of expertise. In some of the big companies conversation skills is a must. More and more companies hire employees with expertise and very well established skills in communication. To know how to talk to someone is very important. Whether you talk to colleagues, family, clients or friends , conversation skills are what makes a conversation pleasant. In today’s job market it`s not enough to be good at what you do, you must also be able to communicate well with subordinates and authority and possess necessary skills in order to move towards next level within your career track. If conversation skills would’t have existed then the whole world would have been a total chaos. Imagine a world where everyone talks non stop and people don`t understand each other.



To become a good conversationalist you need to keep in mind some tips to follow when having a conversation. First when talking it`s best to have a relax attitude not a tense one. Doesn`t matter with whom you are talking to, when you are relax your partner opens up too. When talking it`s best to let the other person talk more. Listening is a great skill to have. Not many people listen and so the conversation is always monopolized and nobody understands nothing. Listening is a very useful quality especially when it comes to talking with clients. Another tip to have a pleasant conversation is asking open ended questions. These questions require a complex answer, one that does’t limit at “yes” or “no” answers. This way you can easily control the conversation and keep it going for as long as you want. Nodding and smiling while talking are gestures that reflect understanding and listening. Looking interested is also a good tip because people like to be listened and approved.

To be a true conversationalist you should always pay attention to your body language. Control yourself! Your face mimics, gestures , posture and even tone of voice can blow your cover. If you don`t like a clients choices, you can`t argue with him. Just act normal and try to hide your disagreement. Another thing you should always remember is to be polite. Words like “excuse me”, thank you” “ have a good day” are very important from a customers point of view.

In conclusion , conversation skills are very important in any situation. Not only at work do you exercise your skills, but also at home with your family and lover. To keep an intimate relationship, communication is the key. Listening and understanding are two very important elements. So, if you don`t have these skills than it`s best to start improving your conversations. They are a great help in your future relationships and career.
